Adapted from our friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay
Work on adopting an attitude of gratitude with your Little by writing/creating some thank you cards together.
Blank cards (if you have them!), blank paper, crayons/markers/colored pencils
Create cards/thank you letters to send to someone of your choosing (e.g. a family member, teacher, lunch monitor, friend). Encourage your Little to choose someone who does not get a lot of recognition. Keep the focus on the act of showing caring for someone else, and don’t get too caught up in correct spelling or grammar!
Who did you each write your letter to? Why did you choose them?
2. What makes this person a good friend/person?
3. What do you do to be a good friend/person?
4. Spend some time telling each other what you appreciate about the person you wrote to.
