Self-Portrait

Materials Needed

A blank piece of paper
Writing utensils
Colored pencils/crayons if available

Directions

Bigs and Littles each create a self-portrait from memory. Draw your face, features, and body using different colors.

Include a shield or personal banner with symbols that depict:
1. Something I do well
2. The best compliment I have received
3. Something I would like to do
4. My greatest character strength

Once everyone has completed their portraits, show them to one another, and discuss the following:

Reflection Questions

  1. What did you learn about yourself while you were doing this?

  2. What was the biggest challenge of this activity?

  3. Looking at each other's work, what is the biggest surprise? What did you learn about each other?
