San Bernardino County 4-H Youth Development Program
Every Sunday this May, Bloomington Boosters will be at the Jurupa Valley Tractor Supply, 2841 Armstrong Road, Jurupa Valley, running a free petting zoo. Meet our members, adult volunteers, and learn about opportunities to participate in our program.
Serving the Inland Empire since 1953, the Bloomington Boosters 4-H Club offers hands-on learning experiences that help young people grow into confident, capable leaders. With the support of passionate volunteers, our members explore a wide range of interests—from animal husbandry and showmanship to photography, arts and crafts, cultural arts, leadership, outdoor adventures, camping, and more. The club provides opportunities for youth to engage in meaningful community service projects, making a positive impact in their neighborhoods while building skills and friendships that last a lifetime.
What is 4-H? 4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization, dedicated to empowering young people through hands-on learning, leadership, and service. Rooted in the values of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, 4-H helps youth ages 5 to 19 grow into capable, engaged citizens through real-world projects in areas like agriculture, science, technology, the arts, and civic engagement. Supported by a network of caring adult mentors, 4-H uses an experiential learning model that builds critical thinking, communication, and teamwork. To learn more and find out how to get involved, visit the California 4-H website.
The club meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM in Bloomington, California. Meetings are led by the youth executive board and typically include project and event showcases, updates on upcoming opportunities, and planning for future club activities.
4-H projects are structured, hands-on learning experiences that allow youth to explore specific areas of interest while developing valuable life skills like responsibility, problem-solving, and communication. Projects are typically guided by adult volunteers and/or teen leaders and can range in complexity depending on the age and experience of the participant.
Our club keeps busy throughout the year with club meetings, project meetings, community events, and much more! Keep up to date by viewing our club calendar.
