Spring Egg Hunt and Hot Chocolate at Bayshore Park
Who: Neighbourhood families (Rankin Crst, Tamarac and Sycamore streets) and their invited guests - all ages welcome
What: Spring Egg hunt and hot chocolate social
When: Friday April 3rd (structure and flow below); Please RSVP by Thursday!
Where: Front yards of participating households and our Park
Why: A casual spring gathering for the neighbourhood
We're making this a neighbourhood-wide hunt! Each participating household is asked to hide a small number of eggs in their front yard so that all the kids have lots to discover.
The Basics:
Fill 10-20 plastic easter eggs with small surprises inside (e.g., stickers, temporary tattoos, wrapped nut-free candies/chocolate, mini erasers, balls, friendship bracelets, lego pieces, loose change, a note with a joke or positive message)
Secretly plant these eggs in your front yard before 10:45am April 3rd (Friday)
Bayshore Egg Hunt planners will place a balloon and mark driveways ("Egg Hunt here") at participating homes by 1030am so that children know which yards are part of the hunt
Egg Hunt: Starts at Bayshore Park at 11 sharp.
Hot chocolate: Around noon and please bring your own mug if possible to reduce waste; adults feel free to bring your own hot toddy, cozy beverage or mug for hot chocolate
Safety:
Adults to watch their kiddos and leashed pets
Signs will be posted at the entrance to our subdivision to alert drivers to watch for kids during the egg hunt
Only hunt at marked homes, respecting landscaping
Light rain or shine, event will run
Bunny ears and fun accessories welcome!
