Julia Heshemieh is a seasoned healthcare executive with a proven track record in leading operational excellence and strategic growth. Serving as the President and CEO of Bay Area Surgical Management since its inception in 2003, she has steered the company to become a top provider of exceptional surgical care in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Under her leadership, BASM has grown to include 18 surgery centers and is renowned among surgeons for its commitment to quality and patient-centric care.

Ms. Heshemieh excels in leadership and operational management, overseeing all aspects of the organization, including financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and strategic business development. Her visionary approach has revitalized underperforming centers and bolstered the organization’s economic vitality, making BASM one of California’s most rapidly expanding healthcare companies, known for its superior patient care and sustained profitability.

With a Master’s degree in Economics from San Jose State University, Ms. Heshemieh’s dedication to continuous improvement perfectly aligns with BASM’s mission to offer cutting-edge, compassionate healthcare.
