Book boxes have been a great motivator for our kids! We give them a prize when they make it through the whole box and that gives them a great sense of achievement. We do each book twice. Finding good book boxes in Spanish has been very tricky and I've really not found any that I love, but they still help us support our kids on their learning to read in Spanish journey.
La casita lectora - A-L - These two series are nice in the sense that they are focused on mostly one letter sound at a time. My 4 year old enjoyed them, but I found them kind of annoying because they don't really have a story and some of the scenarios are rather bizarre! They're also translations so many of the animals have names to match the letter sound.
Spanish Together Series - These books have nice visuals and cute stories with limited vocabulary. If your kids are already reading some then they're pretty good! They're not the best starting point as they are not limited in the letter sounds in any way.
English - Spanish First Little Readers: Guided Reading Level A - These books are nice if your kids enjoy learning through repetitive patterns and visual context clues. We used the English versions of these and they were great for feeling like our kid was winning at reading even though he wasn't exactly reading. If your own Spanish isn't that strong the fact that they are bilingual can be a big help! The downside is that both languages on the page can be distracting. However, these are also not great if your kid needs more focused phonic practice with limited phonemes (letter sounds). These books are not that.
**There is a set of books called "Cuentos fonéticos" but the full set as far as I can tell is only available to teachers.
**If your kid doesn't mind home-printed materials there are a lot of decodeable book options on Teachers Pay Teachers
Todos hemos escuchado de contar ovejas para dormir, este podcast cuenta para los niños que no están listos para hacer eso solo. Se cuenta en voz bajita con música lenta para que se duerman los niños concentrando en algo sano y suave. La repetición los ayuda a conciliar el sueño.
