Bayani (National Heroes)

The term "national hero" signifies individuals who have made significant contributions to their nation's history, often embodying values such as courage, selflessness, and commitment to ideals.  However, the criteria for heroism and the individuals recognized vary greatly across countries and time periods.  Soume nations have formally designated national heroes, while others have a more fluid and evolving understanding of who constitutes a national hero.
