Organizers & Scikit-learn Experts
Organizers
This event is organized and run by all volunteers:
- Reshama Shaikh (NYC WiMLDS organizer & Board Member)
- Pablo Damasceno (Machine Learning Specialist at UCSF Biomedical Imaging)
Scikit-learn Contributors
Scikit-learn is a library that is used around the world. Open source sprints are typically limited to where contributors live or where major conferences are held. We are fortunate to have these scikit-learn experts in the Bay Area at the sprint.
- Valentina Borghesani (sprint organizer & scikit-learn expert)
- Michael Eickenberg (scikit-learn expert)
- Thomas Dupre la Tour (scikit-learn expert)
Facilitator: Andreas Mueller
Andreas is a Research Scientist in Data Science at Columbia University in New York City. He is one of the core developers of the scikit-learn machine learning library, and has maintained it for several years.
His mission is to create open tools to lower the barrier of entry for machine learning applications, promote reproducible science and democratize the access to high-quality machine learning algorithms.
He is the author of the book Introduction to Machine Learning with Python.
