Baxter Conservation Area Education Program Bookings
Thank you for your interest in booking an education program at Baxter Conservation Area. Please review the calendar and complete the form to request a booking.
Click here for a list of Baxter education programs. A program is 1.5 hours in length, the half day option is one 90 minute session for $200, the full day session is two 90 minute sessions for $275 (fees based on 30 students per group). All fees plus applicable taxes.
Example of a typical half-day program
Arrival (introductions, snack and washroom break): 15 minutes

Departure or self-directed time (visiting teachers are responsible for activities that may include exploring the trails, scavenger hunts, etc.): Determined by visiting teacher

Please note that we can typically accommodate two groups of up to 30 students for a total of 60 students at a time for programming. Each group of up to 30 will be led by an RVCA instructor (programs may occur simultaneously or one in the morning and one in the afternoon depending on time restrictions). If you're planning to have more than 60 students, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your group with the program location and staffing.
Groups meet at either our Interpretive Centre or Picnic Shelter. Our Interpretive Centre is a heated/air conditioned building with running water and flush toilets. Our Picnic Shelter is a cover shelter with 10-12 picnic tables. Groups who meet at our picnic shelter have access to outhouses by the beach for washrooms. Staff provide hand sanitizer and jugs of potable water for refilling water bottles. The picnic shelter available to book a second school during the spring in May and June and throughout the summer.
