BATIKAR ABHEDANANDA VIDYAPITH was established in 1956 by Sree Sree Ramkrishna Ashram, Batikar with great motivation by Srimat Swami Satyananda Dev and recognised by WBBSE in 1958. The school is affiliated to WBBSE and WBCHSE under School Education Department, WB. The School is located in Rural area of ILLAMBAZAR block in the District of BIRBHUM, West Bengal. The school is co-educational one with classes of Grades from 5 to 12. We teach boys and girls alike under one root. Natural beauty is apart and parcel of our sacred institution. The School is purely Bengali Medium for instruction purposes though English, Sanskrit and Arabic Languages are taught with utmost care. The total enrolment is about 1250. The school is a road side one. The road is approachable throughout the seasons.
The school has 3 Blocks of building with 15 instructional rooms. The classroom are well-adorned with physical and cognitive facilities. We have Headmaster, Assistant Head master, 16 Assistant Teachers, 6 Para Teachers , 2 Vocational Trainers, 1 ICT Instructor 2 cleerks and 2 Group-D staff. The students get any type of guidance from the competent staff of our family. The Headmaster plays the pivotal role about the progress of the school.
The school is surrounded by a pucca boundary wall. There are well arrangement of electric fans, lights, drinking water(pure & cold), seperate toilets, etc The school is enriched with a playground, a library (with about 1500 books), ramps for CWSN learners, adequate computers for learners in the lab. Mid Day Meal Scheme is run by the teaching staff with human face.
