Couldn't seem to find a plugin to show real players on a server for Battlefield 3 on Battlelog, just like there are some for Battlefield 4, so I created a very simple plugin for Better Battlelog which does just that.

Hi. I previously had Battlefield 3 installed and working fine on my WIndows 7 PC, but after I wiped the HDD and installed Windows 8, I tried re-installing it, and lo and behold, it downloaded and installed, but somehow without installing the Battlelog plugin, thus I can't play any games. Clicking any buttons (e.g. Quick Match, Campaign, etc.) does nothing; the plugin isn't even installed, and I can't find an official link for it anywhere.

Origin and Battlefield 3 are both up-to-date, and I've tried repairing the BF3 install and checking for updates, but to no avail. If anyone can provide an official link to the Battlelog plugin installer, I'd be very, very grateful. Thanks!

Doing some much needed cleanup on my comp today and noticed almost a dozen battlelog-web-plugins hanging out in my downloads. Does anything rely on these old plugins or can I delete them all? Do they sit on top of each other and I should only hold onto the most recent?

This is what shows up when I open up Battlefield 3 / Battlefield 4 through Origin, and land on the Battlelog. I've made sure my Chrome is up-to-date, as well as doing a fresh install. I've gone from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and had the error on both. I've run the plugin installer multiple times, as well as as an administrator. All to no avail. PC specs are in my signature.

Whenever Battlefield3 game's Battlelog browser plugin is highlighted to install because of a new version... it never installs right.. after every single install it keeps offering the same version of plugin to install..

First, enter the Plugins and Extensions tabs from your browser, and disableall of them. Restart the browser, and see if the ads are still there, if not,one of the plugins / extensions is inserting the ads.

I agree with most of the other posters that it could be a browser extension/plugin. From what you are describing it sounds like Conduit to me. Google "Conduit Virus" for more info. It is not really a virus becuase it is not malicious, but it may as well be IMO, and usually will not be detected in scans. If you determine it is not Conduit, try AdwCleaner from bleepingcomputer.com. While you are there download RKill as well and keep it in your toolbox.

Close origin, close browser.

Control Panel ---> Uninstall Programs

Uninstall Battlelog Web Plugins

Uninstall ESN Sonar (dont restart now)

Open your downloads folder and install latest plugin.

Restart computer

Open browser(not origin) and head to battlelog

Then open Battlelog and download/install the latest web plugin setup file again. Reload your browser window and check if Battlelog recognizes the plugin, if not, take another look at the plugins for Firefox. You could also try it with another browser temporarily, to check if it's a general issue or just something regarding Firefox.
