-Speed is defined as the distance traveled in a set amount of time.
-The more force applied to an object, the more speed will increase.
-Force is the push or pull of one object interacting with another object (i.e. the foot on the ground; jumping; hitting a baseball; or football players hitting one another).
-kinetic energy is the energy of motion, and the potential energy one object can apply to another.

Iβve been saying it for years, no matter the sport, speed kills. Football, basketball, baseball, and any other sport you can think of, forward speed, vertical speed, lateral speed, it all plays such a significant role that it CANNOT be discounted or factored in after strength and size.
I always have kids asking me to get them bigger, and I ALWAYS tell them... βIβd rather make you faster, and youβll get bigger as a byproductβ. Overall athleticism is most often measured by various measurements of force and speed, and with strength being measured with a secondary level of importance.
