BATS Privacy Policy
Battle Arena Tournament Special (BATS), published by Over A Glass Or Two LLC. Last updated: 28 October 2026.
In short. BATS has no ads, no ad networks, tracking SDKs, advertising ID, analytics or crash reporting. Matches are played on your device against computer-controlled bots. The iPhone version, and the Android version from 1.1.0, make a free anonymous game account the first time you play (no sign-up, no name, no e-mail, no password) so your heroes and purchases are kept safe. Earlier Android versions (1.0.x) have no account.
Your account (iPhone, and Android from 1.1.0). Our account server stores a random account number made for you (not linked to your name, e-mail, phone number or device ID), your unlocked heroes, hero token balance and VIP level, your progress toward earned tokens (matches played, wins, heroes you won with), and a scrambled one-way copy of each purchase's store code so that a purchase is credited exactly once. The game sends only your account's session code and what you ask for: unlocking a hero, a finished match (win or loss and the hero you played), or a purchase to credit. No location, contacts, device identifiers or gameplay recordings. The server is hosted for us by Supabase; connections are encrypted (HTTPS). We use this data only to keep your heroes and tokens, credit purchases once, award earned tokens fairly and stop cheating. We never sell or share it and never use it for ads.
Keeping and moving your account. On iPhone the game also keeps your account's session in the iPhone's Keychain, so reinstalling the game on the same iPhone brings your heroes back. On Android a small restore key is kept in the game's own backup. In Settings > ACCOUNT you can save a recovery key, or show a one-time code to move your account to another device (MOVE MY ACCOUNT); we store only a scrambled copy of a recovery key.
What stays on your device. Your settings, your account's session and a signed copy of your unlocks (so you can play offline), halftime rotation counters, temporary debug logs and any bug reports you create. Uninstalling the game deletes them, except the iPhone Keychain copy above, which goes when you delete your account.
Halftime studio messages. The halftime show includes in-house studio messages about BATS: its heroes, hero tokens and what we are building next. They are made by us, bundled with the game and shown without contacting anyone.
Bug reports, only if you send one. The Report a bug screen shows you everything in the report before anything happens: your note; the game version, phone model, operating system version, graphics chip, screen size and language; and the game's settings. If you leave the box ticked, it also includes the last lines of the game log and a screenshot. File paths, e-mail addresses, IP addresses and anything that looks like a key or token are removed from the log lines first. Nothing is sent automatically: you choose to send it with your own e-mail app, copy it, or keep the file. If you e-mail it to us, we use it only to fix the problem and to reply to you. We never sell or share it, and we delete it once the issue is resolved or when you ask.
Purchases. iPhone: hero token packs are bought through Apple's App Store, under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Our server asks Apple to confirm each purchase (which pack was bought) and then adds the tokens to your account; each purchase also carries a random token made from your account, so it can be credited only to you. We never see your card, bank or Apple ID details.
Google Play version: hero token packs are bought through Google Play Billing, under Google's own terms and privacy policy. From 1.1.0 our server asks Google to confirm each purchase and adds the tokens to your account (1.0.x keeps the purchase codes on your device only). We never see your card, bank or Google account details. If a purchase is refunded, its tokens are removed.
Website version: Stripe processes the payment, and we never receive your card details. We keep the pack, the purchase time, the transaction ID and the checkout e-mail. We use them to deliver your licence code and receipt, and keep them for accounting and legal records.
Deleting your account. In the game: Settings > ACCOUNT > DELETE MY ACCOUNT (tap twice). This deletes your account and everything stored for it at once, on every device that uses it. Purchases stay recorded only as scrambled codes with no link to you, so they can't be credited twice. Without the game: e-mail us the account ID shown in Settings > ACCOUNT, or use the Delete your data page; we delete it within 30 days.
Children (COPPA). BATS is not directed at children under 13. It has no chat with other people, and the game account holds no personal details (no name, e-mail or phone number). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent and your child sent us a bug report or a purchase e-mail with personal details, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA). You can ask what data we hold about you (your game account, a website purchase record or an e-mailed bug report) and ask us to delete it, subject to tax and legal record-keeping rules. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Changes. We are building online play. When a version adds multiplayer or game statistics, this policy will say what that version collects and why. It will be posted here, with a new date, before that version is released.
