TERATAK SIRIH

This project is to design a culture & community building by responding to the socio-cultural and physical contexts of site (Hutan Bandar Mutiara Rini, Johor Bahru) as well as to potray Malaysian National Architectural Identity. The composite construction should consist of approximately 70% minimum conventional timber.

Teratak Sirih is a stronghold place that exhibit Hutan Bandar Mutiara Rini's tribute and preserve it as well as reminding the society to take a brief moment from the city life to enjoy the environment and to share to generations to come.

With its concept of sharing and inspired by tepak sirih, this community hub aims to provide an engagement area for the community to strengthen the bond between them.
