Bathed In Sound
Sound Baths presented by Kris McNew in collaboration with Sounds Of The Light Studio
A sound bath is a therapeutic experience where participants lie down and are immersed in a soundscape created by resonant instruments like crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. The goal is to induce a state of deep relaxation, stress reduction, and improved well-being through vibrations and tones that are felt physically as well as heard.
What to expect
Instruments: A guide uses instruments such as crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and other percussion to create a continuous soundscape.
Experience: You lie down comfortably, often on a yoga mat, and are surrounded by the sounds. The session is typically 30 to 60 minutes long.
Relaxation: The sounds are intended to be non-melodic and rhythmic to help the brain release, promoting a meditative state that can reduce stress and anxiety.
Physical sensation: Many people report feeling the vibrations throughout their body, which can be a profound physical experience.
