In addition to visiting the authors in our three big author tents, you can enjoy these workshops and activities throughout the day:

On the Gazebo Stage:

11:00 a.m. Montsweagers

12:00 p.m. “Spotlight on Picture Books”

A panel discussion with Samara Cole Doyon, Melanie Ellsworth, Alexandra Hinrichs, Fran Hodgkins, and David A. Kelly.

Moderator: Gia Charles

1:00 p.m. “Spotlight on Middle Grade”

A panel discussion with Betty Culley, Jennifer Richard Jacobson, Diane Magras, Rodman Philbrick, and Dan Poblocki.

Moderator: Meg Steele Barker

2:00 p.m. “Ready? Set? Draw!”

Illustrator "Draw-Off" with Russ Cox, Kevin Hawkes, Jannie Ho, Jarrett Lerner, and Chris Van Dusen.

3:00 p.m. "Fun Run" (Children's Music)

In the Storytime Nook:

11:30 a.m. Lynn Plourde

Lynn will offer an interactive read aloud (with ASL) of Go, Grandma Go! And Go, Grandpa, Go! (Recommended for ages 3-7.)

12:30 p.m. Carrie Finison

Carrie will offer a Dozens of Doughnuts storytime and craft.

1:30 p.m. Anna Crowley Redding

Anna will offer a Chowder Rules! storytime and activity.


In the Workshop Tent:

11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Megan Frazer Blakemore

Megan will offer a "Build-A-Story Writing Workshop," recommended for ages six to twelve.

12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Jarrett Lerner

Jarrett will offer a comic-making workshop for all ages.

1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Katie Coppens

The Acadia Files Rocks! Katie will offer an activity on rocks and minerals (Recommended for ages 7-12).

2:30 to 3:15 p.m. Diane Magras

Diane will offer "Fangs, Claws, and… Rainbow Sparkles?: A Creative Monster-Making Writing Workshop" for all ages.
