I, Dr Basudeba Behera, currently serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur. I hold a PhD in Micro/Nanoelectromechanical Systems (MEMS/NEMS) from IIT Guwahati, with my doctoral research focusing on the modelling, simulation, and fabrication of dual-friction-drive-based surface acoustic wave (SAW) motors.
With over a decade of academic and research experience, my core research interests lie in MEMS/NEMS, SAW devices and actuators, piezoelectric sensors, and IoT-enabled biomedical systems. I have made significant contributions to these domains through numerous SCI-indexed journal publications, patents, and funded projects. Currently, I am leading projects funded by SERB and DoT, Government of India, including the development of an IoMT-based health monitoring system and a 5G Use Case Lab.
I am an IEEE member, a life member of ISTE, and have had the privilege of guiding multiple Ph.D., M.Tech., and B.Tech. students. My work is driven by the aim to bridge advanced microsystem technologies with real-world healthcare and industrial applications through innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
