Hello,

My name is Barrett Stephens and this is my sixth year teaching, 3 years overseas and 2 within Alvin ISD. I have taught and developed curriculum for a variety of courses in my short teaching career including: Engineering Design, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science, Robotics, Astronomy, and Technology Principles.

I am a native of Pearland, Texas, graduating from Pearland High School in 03' and then Texas A&M University. Upon graduating with a Bachelors of Science (BSc.), I began work in the Industrial Refrigeration field and became the companies youngest Construction Foreman after six months. After a few years, I followed my passion to give back to the community and became a teacher. I felt wholeheartedly that I could enrich the lives of the future generations by transferring my knowledge and acquired skills. I achieve this in my classroom by utilizing unique "real world" teaching styles that incorporate a conversational format of education.

When not in teaching, I have enjoyed: being a basketball coach( Varsity boys, Varsity girls, JV boys), rebuilding classic cars (engine and motor work), woodworking (unique designs on tried and true ideas), traveling to foreign locations (Dubai, China, Germany, Saudi, etc.), reading classic and modern literature, and listening to varying styles of music for inspiration.
