This score sheet is designed to calculate BASS-S subscale scores and compare them with preliminary normative reference data from healthy adults.
The normative percentiles provided by this tool are based on two community samples: 118 healthy adults aged 60-94 years (mean age = 72.2 years; 53.4% female) and 121 healthy adults aged 18-59 years (mean age = 29.6 years; 75.5% female). Participants in both samples had an average of approximately 15 years of education. Normative estimates are adjusted for demographic characteristics where appropriate.
These normative data should be considered preliminary. Although they may assist with clinical interpretation, they are based on relatively modest sample sizes and should be used as reference estimates rather than definitive population norms. Percentile estimates may be refined as additional validation and normative data become available.
Further information regarding the development, validation, and normative data for the BASS-S is available in the associated publications. Preprints are available on request.
