If you want a secure, noise-isolating in-ear monitor with deep bass and a fit that stays put during movement, choose BASN Bsinger 2nd; if you need an open-back studio reference headphone with a wide soundstage for critical mixing or quiet vlogging setups, choose SAMSON SR850G. These two products serve opposite ends of the audio spectrum, and picking the wrong one can ruin your recording workflow or listening experience. The BASN is built for isolation and portability, while the SAMSON is engineered for transparency and acoustic precision in a controlled environment.
• BASN Bsinger 2nd: Delivers exceptional passive noise isolation (up to 40 dB) and enhanced bass via dual dynamic drivers, but its closed design limits soundstage width. Best for on-the-go vloggers who need to block out wind and crowd noise.
• SAMSON SR850G: Features large 50mm semi-open drivers for a natural, airy soundstage and accurate midrange reproduction, but allows significant ambient sound leakage and pickup. Best for home-based creators working in quiet rooms.
• The Verdict: If you are filming outside or need to hear every nuance without external distraction, go BASN. If you are editing audio indoors and require flat, honest frequency response, go SAMSON.
The BASN Bsinger 2nd Generation is not a traditional headphone; it is a professional in-ear monitor designed for musicians and performers who demand isolation. The core of its design philosophy revolves around the dual dynamic drivers and the specific acoustic chambers that shape the frequency response. This setup creates a warm, rich mids profile paired with an enhanced deep bass that many standard earbuds simply cannot replicate. For a vlogger, this means you can capture clear audio even in environments where background noise would otherwise drown out your voice or music cues. The memory foam tips are a critical feature here, as they create a tight seal that blocks up to 40 dB of ambient sound. This isn't just about comfort; it is about hearing exactly what is in the mix without interference from the world outside.
The physical construction supports a lifestyle of constant movement. The ergonomic nozzle and over-the-ear configuration ensure the earphones stay secure whether you are walking down a busy street or performing on stage. The included memory foam tips are soft and replaceable, offering a comfortable wearing experience that doesn't fatigue your ears over long periods. You also get silicone sleeves for durability and ease of maintenance. The detachable MMCX cable is another major selling point. Made from ultra-low resistance silver-plated OFC wire, it ensures high transmission quality while allowing you to swap the cord if it ever wears out. With a length of roughly 52 inches, there is plenty of slack for performance needs, and the braided design adds a layer of ruggedness that cheap cables often lack.

Who should buy this? This unit is perfect for the vlogger who shoots outdoors, the musician needing a reliable stage monitor, or anyone who requires absolute focus on their audio source. It is particularly well-suited for those looking for the best hi-fi stereo on ear headphones for vlogging scenarios where wind noise and traffic are constants. However, you should skip this product if you plan to use it in a shared office space or a quiet room where you need to hear colleagues or family members. The 18-ohm impedance and the closed-back nature mean that sound leakage is minimal, which is great for privacy but terrible for sharing audio with others. If you need to hear the room around you while listening, this sealed design will isolate you too effectively.
The SAMSON SR850G represents the classic approach to studio monitoring: large drivers, open-back design, and a focus on accuracy over isolation. These circumaural, over-ear headphones utilize proprietary 50mm drivers with rare earth magnets to deliver an extended frequency response ranging from 10 Hz to 30 kHz. This wide range ensures that you hear the full spectrum of audio, from the deepest sub-bass rumble to the highest treble harmonics, with remarkable clarity. The semi-open design is the defining characteristic here; it improves ambient listening by allowing air to pass through the ear cups. This results in a wider soundstage and better stereo imaging, making it feel like the music or dialogue is coming from a vast space rather than inside your head. For a creator using these as hi-res gaming headphones for vlogging, this openness provides a level of immersion that closed-back models struggle to match.
Comfort is equally prioritized in the SR850G. The velour cushioning and self-adjusting headband work together to distribute weight evenly, preventing the "head clamp" feeling common with cheaper models. Weighing in at roughly 9.73 ounces, they are substantial but balanced enough for long editing sessions. The graphite edition adds a sleek aesthetic, but the real value lies in the internal engineering. The flat frequency response allows listeners to hear audio exactly as it was meant to be heard, instilling confidence in your final mix. Whether you are tracking vocals, mixing tracks, or mastering a video project, the true midrange highlights subtle changes that might be lost in bass-heavy consumer gear. The gold-plated 3.5 mm connector and included 1/4-inch adapter make connectivity versatile for various studio interfaces and devices.
This product is ideal for podcasters, studio streamers, and vloggers who record in sound-treated rooms or quiet home offices. If you are searching for the best kids headphones for vlogging, this might be overkill due to the open design, but for adult professionals, it is a serious tool. The ability to hear the "bleed" between channels helps in creating a more natural stereo image. However, the trade-off is significant: because the design is semi-open, it does not block outside noise. In a noisy coffee shop or a windy park, you will hear everything around you, and people around you will hear what you are listening to. If you need to isolate yourself from the environment to focus on a single audio track, these headphones will let too much distraction in. They are strictly for environments where silence is already present.
• Best for battery life → Neither has a battery; both are wired, but the BASN cable is longer (52 inches) for greater mobility.
• Best for outdoor vlogging → BASN Bsinger 2nd, due to its superior passive noise isolation and secure fit against wind.
• Best for studio mixing → SAMSON SR850G, thanks to its semi-open design and 10 Hz–30 kHz frequency response.
• Best for comfort in long sessions → SAMSON SR850G, with its velour padding and self-adjusting headband reducing pressure points.
• Best for bass response → BASN Bsinger 2nd, featuring dual dynamic drivers specifically tuned for enhanced deep bass.
• Best for soundstage width → SAMSON SR850G, as the open-back design creates a natural, airy acoustic field.
• Best for durability/cable swaps → BASN Bsinger 2nd, with its reinforced MMCX system and OFC wiring.
• Best for quiet room isolation → BASN Bsinger 2nd, blocking up to 40 dB of ambient sound compared to the leaky SAMSON.
In my opinion, if you are building a kit specifically for vlogging, the BASN Bsinger 2nd is the safer and more versatile choice for most real-world conditions. Vlogging often takes you outside, into unpredictable environments where wind, traffic, and crowds are unavoidable. The ability to block out 40 dB of that chaos with the memory foam tips ensures your audio remains clean without needing expensive post-production cleanup. While the SAMSON SR850G offers a more expansive and accurate soundstage for critical listening, its open-back design makes it impractical for mobile content creation. I would buy the BASN because the isolation feature directly solves the biggest problem vloggers face: controlling the recording environment. For the person who needs the best hifi stereo on ear headphones for vlogging, the trade-offs of the BASN favor the reality of shooting on location far more than the theoretical perfection of the SAMSON.
Yes, the BASN Bsinger 2nd is excellent for this, utilizing memory foam to block up to 40 dB of ambient sound. The SAMSON SR850G is semi-open and will not block outside noise, making it unsuitable for noisy environments.
Both units have low impedances (18 ohms for BASN, 32 ohms for SAMSON), so they can generally be driven directly by smartphones, cameras, or laptop audio jacks without a dedicated amp.
The SAMSON SR850G is likely more comfortable for hours of stationary work due to its velour ear pads and open design, which prevents heat buildup. The BASN is comfortable but may cause more ear fatigue after several hours of continuous wear.
Absolutely. The BASN Bsinger 2nd uses a standard MMCX connector, meaning you can easily purchase and install replacement cables to upgrade or repair the connection. The SAMSON comes with a fixed cable.
