This Privacy Policy describes how BasketBestie ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect basic profile information provided by Google, including:

Display Name
Profile Picture
We use this information solely to authenticate your identity and create your unique user profile for the Household Sync feature.
We collect the data you voluntarily input into the App, including:
Grocery lists
Pantry items
Loyalty card numbers
Budget/Spending data
Free Users: This data is stored locally on your device using Hive Database and is not transmitted to our servers. Premium Users: This data is securely stored in Google Cloud Firestore to enable real-time synchronization between devices.
The App requests the following permissions to function:
Camera: Used to scan loyalty card barcodes and take photos of grocery items. Images are stored locally or synced to your household if Premium is enabled.
Notifications: Used to send shopping reminders and bill payment alerts.
Internet: Used for Google Sign-In and Cloud Syncing (Premium feature).
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (e.g., saving your lists).
Sync your data across devices (for Premium users).
Authenticate your account and secure your data.
Allow you to share your household lists with other users.
Local Storage: We use Hive for efficient local data storage.
Cloud Storage: For Premium users, data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (USA/Global regions), which is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Security: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
We use the following third-party services which may collect information used to identify you:
Google Play Services
Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore)
Google Analytics for Firebase (Crashlytics)
You have the right to delete your data at any time.
In-App: Go to Settings > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data from our servers and your device.

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
