Je m’appelle David et le basketball fait partie de ma vie depuis l’âge de 7 ans. J’ai eu la chance de jouer à plusieurs niveaux : d’abord à l’école primaire Félix-Leclerc, ensuite à l’école secondaire Mont-Royal, où j’ai remporté le championnat provincial, puis au Cégep du Vieux Montréal, où j’ai terminé ma carrière de joueur. Au fil de mon parcours, j’ai également reçu un titre de joueur par excellence (MVP). J’ai aussi porté les couleurs d’organisations comme Sun Youth AAA Basketball et St-Laurent Basketball AAA.

Même pendant mes années comme joueur, l’entraîneur en moi était toujours présent. Il y a deux ans, j’ai décidé de me consacrer pleinement au coaching, motivé par le développement des jeunes, une cause qui me tient particulièrement à cœur. Dans ma jeunesse, j’ai eu la chance d’être entouré de mentors qui ont contribué à faire de moi la personne que je suis aujourd’hui, et j’aimerais offrir ce même accompagnement à la prochaine génération.

My name is David, and basketball has been part of my life since I was 7 years old. I’ve had the chance to play at several levels: starting at Félix-Leclerc elementary school, then at Mont-Royal high school where I won the provincial championship and finally at Cégep du Vieux Montréal, where I finished my playing career. Along the way, I also earned an MVP award. I’ve also worn the colors of organizations like Sun Youth AAA Basketball and St-Laurent Basketball AAA.

Even during my years as a player, the coach in me was always present. Two years ago, I decided to fully commit to coaching, driven by youth development a cause that’s especially close to my heart. In my own youth, I was lucky to be surrounded by mentors who helped shape who I am today, and I want to offer that same guidance to the next generation.

Entraîneur adjoint / Assistant Coach

J’ai toujours été passionné par le sport. Le basketball fait partie de ma vie depuis l’âge de 10 ans. J’ai passé d’innombrables heures à jouer dans les parcs de mon quartier, dans les entrées de garage et à l’école. J’ai également joué au football pendant de nombreuses années, tant au niveau secondaire qu’interurbain, avant de devenir entraîneur de football au secondaire.

En dehors du sport, je suis lieutenant au Service de sécurité incendie, où l’encadrement, l’enseignement et le leadership d’équipe font partie de mon quotidien. Aider les gens à apprendre, à progresser et à travailler ensemble est une véritable passion pour moi.

En tant qu’entraîneur adjoint des Hawks, mon objectif est d’aider chaque joueur à développer ses habiletés, à gagner en confiance, à travailler fort et, surtout, à cultiver une véritable passion pour le basketball. Je crois que les meilleures équipes se construisent grâce aux efforts de chacun, au respect mutuel et au plaisir d’apprendre tout en s’amusant.

I’ve loved sports for as long as I can remember. Basketball has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old, spending countless hours playing at local parks, in driveways, and through school. I also played football for many years, including at the high school and intercity levels, and later coached high school football.

Outside of sports, I’m a lieutenant with the fire department, where coaching, teaching, and leading teams are part of my everyday job. Helping people learn, grow, and work together is something I’m passionate about.

As an assistant coach with the Hawks, my goal is to help every player improve their skills, build confidence, work hard, and most importantly, develop a love for the game. I believe the best teams are built on effort, respect, and having fun while learning.
