Schedule
The event will take place over two days in two different venues:
Friday, October 13: The talks will be in the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. The Seymour Center is located on the west side of Santa Cruz and overlooks the ocean.
Saturday, October 14: The talks will take place in Thimann Lecture Hall 1 on the UCSC campus. Some parking lots are available for free on the weekends; click here for details.
Parking:
Friday, October 13: You can park in front of the Seymour Marine Discovery Center and use ParkMobile to pay for parking. This should be around $10 for the day. Alternatively, you can park on Delaware Ave., east of Shaffer Rd., for free. It's then just a 10--20-minute (nice) walk.
Saturday, October 14: Weekend parking on most of campus is free. The closest free lot to where the meeting will be held is the Core West parking lot.
Buses: There is a bus stop just outside of the Seymour Center (on the 20 route). There are also buses (the 10, 18, 19, and 20 routes) that go up to the university and stop a brief walk away from the Thimann Lecture Hall. Click here for the schedule.
