I am having issues with the camera RAW filter in Photoshop 2023. When I open a file in Photoshop and try to use the camera RAW filter it does not open the filter adjustment box. It just spins and then stops, and I have to hit "enter" before I can do anything else in Photoshop. iIve tried disabling the GPU, and re-enabling. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop twice. I am running photoshop 2023 and photoshop Beta on my laptop, which have been running successfully on this laptop for several months. Any suggestions would really help me, Thank you.

Had a brief look at affinity photo and whilst concluding this was good value for money software I was a bit disappointed by the absence of some basic Photoshop features,these are basic interface features which don't require fancy algorithms so I'm not sure why software which is trying to emulate Photoshop in so many other ways would leave them out, just my 2 cents worth.

Aside from the distance, the tiny checkmark target exacerbates this usability issue even further. It really is quite terrible UI design on display here. Beautiful example of how not to implement this basic task.

In this course, you'll learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop, the premiere image editing application. As part of the course, you'll learn how to perform basic photo retouching tasks while exploring the Photoshop interface and becoming more familiar with the program. You'll also work on a more complex photo compositing project, and learn about layers, selections, healing tools, and image adjustments.

While anyone can learn Photoshop, it helps to have basic computer skills so you'll better understand how to implement what you learn to do with the software. A background or interest in graphic design or digital art can also be helpful, as can a background in web design. Any sort of artistic or creative experience involving photos or graphics, whether it's a hobby or a career, may be beneficial when learning and using Photoshop. This could include experience in anything from photography to fashion design and visual effects to advertising.

This workshop will explore topics from how to navigate the toolbar and use layers to different photo repair and editing techniques. Photoshop is the industry standard photo image editing software for print and digital output. In this hands-on introductory workshop, we will walk through Photoshop's basic capabilities and use tools and techniques to edit images and create visual design mock-ups - no design experience required!

As near as I can tell there is no way to avoid this, so I need a good alternative app. A paid app is fine. As close as possible to Photoshp's feature set would be nice, but I do not do professional image work, but mostly basic web design elements and tweaking of photos.

Lightroom is an image-management application, that can also perform non-destructive edits to your photos. That is to say it manages the importing, keyword/meta-ing, basic (non-destructive) manipulation and exporting of images. I know you can do this sort of thing in Photoshop, but Lightroom is designed to make this as easy as possible, and to guide you through your workflow. It's also very important to note that Lightroom manipulations are non-destructive. Your entire workflow works on the RAW files, with the changes you want to make to your images being stored as you go. Only when you want to export your images are your changes used when a JPEG/PNG/TIFF/Whatever image file is produced from the RAW file.

I have used both since their earlier days. Lightroom is primarily a tool to manage and organize your photos. It has some basic editing capabilities that are non-destructive. Photoshop is a tool to perform extensive edits on your photos.
