Bashkir State Medical University is a medical university in Ufa, Russia, founded in 1932. It started with a single faculty, General Medicine, and over the years other faculties were added, including Pediatrics, Preventive Medicine and Microbiology, Dentistry and Pharmacy. In 2010, Ufa Medical University and Bashkir State Medical University were renamed Bashkir State Medical University. In 2014, for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, Bashkir State Medical University trained about 700 volunteers.

For admission to Bashkir State Medical University, the minimum age criterion of a candidate is 17 years.
Candidates must have scored 50% in their higher secondary school.

Bashkir State Medical University Admission Process

Student life at BSMU
Bashkir Medical University has five dormitories that can accommodate 2000 students. The dormitories are apartment type, i.e. with attached kitchen, toilet and bathroom. All dormitories are well furnished and fully air-conditioned. The basic system is two or three students in one room. Internet facilities are available in the dormitories. Students can get Indian food in the dormitory canteen and foreign TV channels (Hindi, Tamil, etc.) are also available.
All dormitories are well guarded by the police. Bed linen is changed once a week and the hostel is cleaned once a day. BSMU organizes cultural programs every year in which students from various countries of the world participate. Indian Students Association celebrates Indian festivals like Diwali, Holi, Baisakhi etc. every year.
BSMU also organizes tournaments like table tennis, football, basketball and badminton etc. The library of Bashkir University has more than 500,000 books, 85% of which are specialized medical books. The library has 4 specialized reading rooms with 252 seats, a local area network and an e-catalogue that provides access to many databases.
