Base - spend Extension is a Chrome extension that helps you track personal spending on your own device. This policy describes the information the extension handles and where it stays.

Information you enter

The extension stores only what you choose to enter or import:

• Transactions, including date, direction, amount, asset, account label, category, and note

• Envelopes, bills, goals, account names, and the rates you set

• Settings such as theme, display currency, monthly set-aside, and large-payment limit

• A JSON or CSV file you import

This is financial information about your own ledger. The extension does not ask for your name, email address, card number, bank username, bank password, seed phrase, or private key. Do not put those in a note.

Where it is stored

Entries are saved with Chrome's local storage on the browser profile you are using. They stay on that device. The extension does not have an account, does not run a server, and does not send the ledger to the developer or to any other service. It does not use analytics, advertising, or remote code.

Chrome sync of extension storage, if you turn it on in Chrome, is controlled by your Google account and Chrome's own settings. This extension does not add a sync service of its own.

How it is used

The ledger is used only to show balances, envelopes, bills, goals, and the safe-to-spend figure inside the extension. It is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used to assess credit or to offer loans.

Permissions

The only permission is storage, which lets the extension keep your ledger on this browser profile. The extension does not request access to your browsing history, tabs, or websites.

Export and deletion

In the studio, open Settings to export a JSON or CSV copy. Reset erases the ledger stored by the extension on this profile. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes its stored data with it. Export a copy first if you want to keep one.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will change and the updated page will be published at this same address.
