Catalysis Research Group
Primary motivations of Catalysis research group is to develop new heterogeneous and homogeneous catalyst for C-H and O-H activation using first row transition metals, and hence minimizing the use of rare metals as catalysts in synthetic organic chemistry.
Phosphorus, sulphur and selenium doped graphitic materials as a new generation carbocatalyst, in electrochemical sensing and heavy metal separation etc.
We are also studying photoredox catalyzed organic transformation.
