I am a postdoctoral fellow in Operations Research at the Operations, Planning, Accounting & Control (OPAC) group at Eindhoven University of Technology. My supervisor is dr. Rolf van Lieshout.Â
In May 2025, I obtained my PhD at the Econometric Institute of Erasmus University Rotterdam, supervised by dr. Twan Dollevoet and prof.dr. Dennis Huisman. I also hold a Master of Science in Operations Research and Quantitative Logistics (cum laude) from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
From February - June 2023, I visited prof.dr. Andrea Lodi and dr. Rui Chen at Cornell Tech in New York City.
My research interests include railway crew planning, fairness-oriented optimisation, and combinatorial optimisation in general. I apply a wide range of mathematical programming techniques, with a strong focus on large-scale column generation. My doctoral dissertation features a strong collaboration with Netherlands Railways, the largest passenger railway operator of the Netherlands.
