Bartender 5 is only compatible with macOS Sonoma. Because of internal changes in macOS, Bartender 5 could only be designed to work with the newest version of macOS. A Bartender 5 license will work with Bartender 4 if you need.
You need to be on macOS Sonoma, then you can download Bartender 5 from the website, open the disk image and move Bartender 5 to your applications folder. You can then delete any previous versions of Bartender you have and launch Bartender 5.

Explanation of the fields:
Program
This lists the friendly name of the program that you're using. Starting with BarTender 2016, we started including year as an easy way to identify that major version of the software that you're using. You can identify the specific release that you have by using the "R" number (e.g.2016 R5).
License
This shows the specific license that you have. When BarTender using a Trial edition of BarTender, you'll see the word Trial. It may also say "Demo" if the trial days have expired.
Version
This is the specific version and build number of BarTender. This is usually not needed as the release number (e.g. R5) ties to a specific version number. You will also see the bit level or architecture of BarTender in parenthesis. Starting with BarTender 2016, we introduced a 64-bit build, so you'll either see 32-bit or 64-bit here. This information is often useful when contacting support and troubleshooting some problems.
OS
This shows the details of the operating system that BarTender is installed on. This is often useful for Technical Support when troublehsooting.
Activation Status This will either say "Activated" or "Not Activated". When using a Trial edition, it will say "Not Activated", but you will also see a field that tells you the number of trial days remaining.
I have an issue in Bartender 2019 where I have set up an integration file to detect any new files with *.bt extension, bartender successfully detects every new file, changes there extension to *.txt and stops.
If the services are running as DOMAINNAME\BartenderUser then you need to log into the server itself, and map the printers you wish to use such \PRINTSERVER\LabelPrinter1. Do this in Devices and Printers.
If this is the first time you have created an integration file on versions greater than pre bartender 2016 then make sure you have the input data format of the integration set to unstructured and not Print Command Script (I know that would be too intuitive). That was the issue I had when I first started working with Bartender 2016.

2.2 Account and Product Registration. You must register for an account with us and register your product(s) under that account, in order to place orders or access or receive Software and/or Support. You must keep your registration current so that we may send notices about your Software Product, our Maintenance and Support Agreement, service releases, statements, and other information to you by email or through your account, and you agree to accept such notices.
2.6.2 Subscription License. Software Product that allows you to use the Software Product for a specified license term provided you comply with the terms of this Agreement, as it may be modified from time to time. The following Software Products are available on a subscription license: Professional; Automation; and, Enterprise.
2.6.3. Evaluation License. Software Product that allows you to use the Software Product for a pre-determined and/or time-limited term provided you comply with the terms of this Agreement, as it may be modified from time to time. 2.6.5 Printed Item-Based License. When BarTender Software is used to generate electronic documents such as PDF files, licensing is based on the number of items printed per week, per licensed printer that is established for your edition. You can find the number of Printed Items established for your edition here, in our BarTender features comparison table. While the BarTender Licensing Service attempts to monitor license compliance of the number of items printed per week per licensed printer, it is your responsibility to ensure that you print no more than the number established for your edition per week per licensed printer.
