The life behind Barrz

Hip Hop Dance Hall Artist and Producer Abdul Barrz was born in East New York, Brooklyn. At 19, he was inspired by Sean Paul's rhythmic swag and Nas street scholar vibe and began writing to spread music with a positive message, to inform, uplift, motivate, and encourage listeners. While targeting the socially conscious, Abdul aims for universal appeal, bringing his message to all audiences while working in the community to elevate the people. As a talented songwriter, recording artist, and Beatmaker, he has graced the stage of numerous New York City clubs and Artist showcases, including Amateur Night at the Apollo, Daze Summit with Nathaniel the Great, and Trappers Only with Ace General. Beyond the stage, Abdul has also made an impact as an event organizer and host, Headlining the Under Dog Parking Lot Concert Series at Summer Jam in 2021 and 2022. Now, turning a lifelong passion into a professional career, Abdul is pursuing an Audio Engineering Degree at the Los Angeles Film School, dedicated to mastering the craft of sound.
