Barrow Hill Community Trust
Centenary Renovation Project
While the Memorial Hall has served the community well for over 150 years, it is now very dilapidated and in need of a complete renovation.
We aim to bring the Hall back to being a facility the community can be proud of: a multi-purpose community space that offers a wide range of local services and activities and that meets all the requirements of the 21st century. Read more here
Working groups for the renovation project include trustees, residents, advisors, potential hirers, partners and community representatives. The Building Design Group is currently checking everything from floor surfaces to sockets and sinks whilst the Funding Group is busy preparing a business plan and applying for grants. If you have any experience that could help and would like to be part of one of these groups, please contact us.
Charities are not allowed to trade and a small group of local people will be needed to form a new Community Hub Group. This group will look at how a pub/cafe can be set up and managed. There will be plenty of people who can be called on for help and advice. Please get in touch if you would be interested in doing this or if you would like to know more.
