Privacy Policy for Barricade
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this covers
Barricade ("the App") is a mobile game developed and operated by Efe Taylan Toksöz, an independent developer based in Türkiye (listed on Google Play as Zenith Dynamics). This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the iOS and Android versions of Barricade.
The App is free to download. It shows advertisements and offers optional in-app purchases.
2. Playing without an account
When you open the App for the first time, an anonymous account is created for you automatically. It has no name, no email address and no connection to your identity — it is a random identifier that lets your progress live on our servers instead of only on your phone.
You can play the entire game this way. Linking an account is optional, and only required if you want to make a purchase or keep your progress when you change devices.
3. What we collect
Created by playing:
• Your anonymous account identifier
• Game progress: gold, gems, experience, level, owned cosmetic items and consumables
• Your competitive rating and match results
• Daily activity counters used to apply reward limits and prevent cheating
Only if you choose to use these features:
• A display name that you pick yourself. It is visible to other players. Please do not use your real name or anyone else's.
• Your friend list, friend code, sent and received friend requests, and gifts
• Players you have blocked
• Reports you submit about other players, and reports other players submit about you. A report records who reported whom, the reason, and the time. We use these only to moderate abusive behaviour.
• While an online match is running: the state of the board and the pieces, so both players see the same game
If you link an Apple or Google account:
• Apple or Google confirms to us that the sign-in succeeded and gives us an account identifier. The email address associated with that account is stored by Firebase Authentication as part of your account record. We do not read it, display it to other players, or use it for marketing. If you sign in with Apple you may choose "Hide My Email", in which case Apple never shares your real address with us.
If you make a purchase:
• Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the payment. We never see or store your card details, billing address or account password.
• Our purchase provider RevenueCat receives your anonymous account identifier and the receipt issued by the store, so we can confirm the purchase is genuine and deliver what you bought.
Advertising:
• Our advertising partner Google AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and general information about your device to select and measure ads.
• On iOS, we ask for your permission before any tracking takes place. If you decline, you still see ads — they are simply less relevant to you.
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we show you Google's consent form before loading ads and follow the choice you make. You can reopen it at any time from Settings → Ad Preferences.
Diagnostics and feedback:
• When something goes wrong in the App (for example an error, or a purchase that could not be completed), the App sends us a short technical record: the type of event, a shortened error message, the App version and whether you are on iOS or Android. It is linked to your anonymous account identifier so we can find and fix the problem. We also record a few basic gameplay events (a match started or finished, the shop was opened) to see which parts of the game work. These records contain no text you typed and no contact details, and they are deleted automatically after 14 days.
• If you send us a message from Settings → Send feedback, we store the text you wrote together with your anonymous account identifier, the App version and your platform, so we can read it and respond to the problem. Please do not include personal information in it. Feedback is deleted automatically after 180 days.
Stored on your device only:
• Your settings, chosen language, sound and vibration preferences, and a local copy of your progress so the game works offline. This never leaves your phone unless you link an account.
4. What we do not collect
We do not collect your real name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise or approximate location, health data, or any information about your browsing outside the App. The App has no chat: players cannot send each other free text. Nothing you do in the App is sold to anyone.
5. Why we need it
Your progress and purchases are stored on our servers so they are not lost when you change or reset your phone, and so that cheating is not possible — the server, not your phone, decides how much gold you have. Match and rating data make fair matchmaking possible. Reports and blocks let us act on abusive behaviour. Advertising revenue is what keeps the App free.
6. Services we use
Each of these has its own privacy policy:
• Google Firebase (authentication, database, server functions) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Play Services and Google Play billing (Android app distribution and in-app purchases) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Apple (App Store, in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple) — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
• RevenueCat (purchase verification) — https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Our servers are located in Belgium (European Union).
7. Children
Barricade is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
8. How long we keep your data
Your account data is kept while your account exists. Matchmaking records are deleted as soon as a match starts or you leave the queue. Finished match records are removed automatically. Reports are kept while they are needed for moderation. Diagnostic records are deleted after 14 days and feedback messages after 180 days; both are also deleted immediately when you delete your account.
9. Deleting your account and your data
You can delete everything yourself, from inside the App, without contacting us:
Settings → Account → "Delete account and data"
This permanently deletes your server-side account and everything in it: your gold, your gems, every item you own, your rating, your friends list and your purchase entitlements. The App confirms before it does anything, and the deletion takes effect immediately. Afterwards the game reopens as a brand-new guest account.
Settings → Reset Progress is a different, smaller action: it only clears the copy of your data stored on your device, and leaves your server account untouched.
If you cannot open the App, email efe.toksoz16@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or — if you play anonymously — send us your player code from Settings. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
Deletion is permanent in every case. Purchases, items and progress cannot be restored afterwards, and we cannot recover them for you.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Under Türkiye's KVKK and the European GDPR these rights apply to you directly. Write to the address below and we will respond.
11. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access to it is limited to the developer. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not store anything that would let someone identify you personally.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
