BARREFIT PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains how [DEVELOPER/COMPANY NAME] (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the BarreFit mobile application for iOS and Android (“BarreFit” or the “App”).
IMPORTANT ASSUMPTION
This policy is written for a version of BarreFit that works offline, does not require an account, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, does not transmit workout information to a developer-controlled server, and stores workout data locally on the user’s device. Before publishing, confirm that these statements match the released app and every third-party SDK included in the build.
1. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
BarreFit may allow you to create and store information such as workout type, planned or completed workout minutes, selected exercises, repetitions, weights, counts, loads, set types, workout notes, streaks, reminder schedules, and app preferences. This information is stored locally on your device so the App can provide its workout logging, reminders, and analytics features.
We do not receive, access, or control information that remains only on your device.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Under the assumptions stated above, we do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information, workout information, health information, device identifiers, location information, contacts, photos, microphone data, or browsing activity through BarreFit.
BarreFit does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or other contact information to use the App.
3. DEVICE PERMISSIONS
Notifications: If you enable exercise reminders, BarreFit may request permission to send local notifications. Reminder information is used only to schedule the notifications you choose on your device. You can change notification permission in your device settings.
Haptics: If enabled, the App may use device vibration or haptic feedback for supported taps and actions. This does not require us to collect personal information.
BarreFit should not request access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, HealthKit, Health Connect, or other sensitive device data unless those features are added in a future version. If the App’s permissions change, this policy and the applicable store disclosures must be updated before release.
4. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Locally stored information is used on your device to provide features such as creating and completing workout logs, displaying recent activity, calculating streaks and workout statistics, showing training consistency, remembering app preferences, and scheduling reminders.
5. SHARING OF INFORMATION
Under the assumptions stated above, we do not share App data with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, social networks, or other third parties because BarreFit does not transmit App data off your device.
Apple App Store and Google Play may independently process information related to downloading, purchasing, updating, diagnosing, or using their platforms. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and is not controlled by BarreFit.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Workout logs, notes, reminders, and preferences remain on your device until you delete them using available App controls, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Because this information is not transmitted to us, we cannot access, recover, or remotely delete it.
If you contact us for support by email, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message. We will use it only to respond to your request and will retain it only as reasonably necessary for support, security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us at itsumarjamshaid@gmail.com.
7. DATA SECURITY
We design BarreFit to minimise data collection by keeping workout information on the device. The security of locally stored information also depends on your device, operating system, passcode, backups, and security settings. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
BarreFit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Because BarreFit does not collect or store workout information on our servers under the assumptions above, we generally do not possess App data that can be accessed, corrected, exported, or deleted through a server request. You can manage locally stored information directly on your device. For information voluntarily sent to support, you may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable law.
10. INTERNATIONAL USERS
BarreFit may be available in multiple countries. Under the assumptions above, workout information is processed locally on your device rather than transferred to us internationally.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to BarreFit, legal requirements, or our practices. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or store listing. If a future version introduces accounts, cloud backup, analytics, advertising, HealthKit, Health Connect, or any off-device data transmission, this policy and the store privacy declarations must be updated before that version is released.
