Landed Jester

His jokes took to the air

Going over the heads of his audience

Uncourted Indeed

It flew far above his own position

Whose laughter bounds and booms

When you mock the mountain

Who giggles

Ridiculing Rivers

a tongue abreast

of self-deprecating humours

look at him now

laugh and laugh

Pranking himself

Yanking his own chain

He learned a physical comedy

when tragedy struck

As it tends to

the clock of one's life

comes back around

He hadn't an ear for a well-crafted bit

and indeed

no sense of humour

but he knew the jokes were on him

and one way or another

he'd get a laugh

*knock knock*
