My research focuses on a set of interrelated issues in epistemology and philosophy of mind, including questions about enquiry, the value of knowledge, and the nature of belief. The fundamental idea is that examining the relationships between these issues gives us a new angle on traditional philosophical questions about the value of knowledge, such as the Meno problem of explaining why knowledge is more valuable than true belief. Following Williamson, I believe that knowledge comes first, and I also mean my research to advance this broader agenda.
My research project builds on ideas I began to develop in my PhD thesis, which was supervised by Professor Matthew Soteriou.
Details of papers I have published, and others that I'm working on, are below. If you'd like to read something of mine but can't get hold of it, drop me an email.
