About Us

Barky Brass is a trumpet-trombone duo, made up of Biscuit, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and Sushi, a Siberian Husky! After meeting at Barkley College, they decided to create the cutest performing duet to ever exist, combining their furry skills with music! Barky Brass educates the human and furry friend communities about entrepreneurship, social media skills, and creating a website!

Biscuit "Beans"

An Instagram sensation known for flaunting his fluff on hikes and making friends with every human he passes, Biscuit is a young graduate of Barkeley School of Music. His fame came after realizing people love watching reels of a corgi that will run, do tricks, and bark at literally anything.

Along with his social media presence, he is an expert judge for all things trumpet. His satellite ears allow him to clearly hear any and all out-of-tune phrases, and he is known to be a harsh critic and will tell any performer where they need to improve. Performers may notice this in the form of the 'Disapproving Corgi Look,' a glance he has perfected in his time at Barkeley.

In his spare time, he performs duets with the trumpet and creates covers to popular tunes, with most recent covers being The Weeknd & Arianna Grande's "Save Your Treats," Lil Nas X's "Biscuit (Call Me By My Name)," and Billie Eilish's "Corgi Eyes."

Follow him on Instagram @theadventurecorg to see more than just his musical side. Once recovered from two leg fractures, Biscuit will be back to exploring the Appalachian Mountains, beginning agility training, and making new friends!

Sushi

Growing up in the frozen landscape of Siberia, Sushi learned to play music at a very young age in order to keep warm. Little did she realize, her thick undercoat was what actually kept her warm. All of this practice, however was allowing her musical abilities to develop at a rate never seen before. Sushi is already a prolific song writer and vocalist; however, she has lately been connecting with her instinctual rhythmic roots. This is often on display as she drinks from her bowl in mixed meter and poly rhythmic tongue laps.

Her talents do not stop there. A recent graduate from the Barkeley School of Music, Sushi's real passion comes from arranging trombone and saxophone repertoire. Her most recent album featured contrafacts of classic jazz standards such as, "Husky Loose Walk" and "Chase the Cotton Tail," as well as an original composition, "Belly Rub Blues."

Her routine always starts with a morning walk to keep her creative spirit energized. Sushi enjoys roaming the outdoors and chasing squirrels when she is not composing or performing. She will always make time for a nap and some belly rubs and is currently accepting offers to write and perform. Payments can be made out to "The Goodest Girl" in the form of salmon flavored foods and ginger treats.
