FAQ's

1. What does joining mean? 

It means you have a voice. All members, although not required, are welcome and encouraged to attend Barka PTA meetings the first Thursday of each month. Members get a vote at PTA meetings in regards to school events, budget spending, and are welcome to join sub-committees or suggest ideas for our school.

2. Where do the dues go? 

State membership fees and PTA funded school events

3. Do I have to DO anything or Attend all meetings? 

NO, although we love seeing parents and staff at meetings, you are not mandated to attend anything or volunteer.

4. Will meetings be in person or remote?

This year we are trying to get back to in person meetings as this is always a great way to meet everyone and engage with the BARKA parents and staff; however, we know this is not always feasible for busy parents. Therefore, we will be making every effort to have our meetings available virtually through Google Meets or FB. 

5. When are Barka PTA meetings?

Meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 7pm.
