The following is some information about maintaining and updating the site.
Currently there are several components to the Bardic Tales sites.
The new version (as of '26) of the main rules site is https://sites.google.com/view/bardictales. This covers rules and some high level information about Alex's main campaign (including the nature of magic, the planes and the layout of the prime). This site is intended to be fairly static as it contains only information for the core rules or elements of the game universe which are fairly universal. The primary editor for this site is Alex Jackl (and his horde of minions).
The domain name https://bardictales.org/ still points to the old wiki technology and is still
The main Lore site is https://sites.google.com/view/bardictaleslore which contains stories, run notes, and all sorts of written material related to the gaming world (s) of Bardic Tales. This is a player managed site and players can edit or add content as desired. This is primarily for written material, and so large digital files may be linked from the site but should not be uploaded to it.
If you want to add information to the site and do not have privilege to do so, please contact me (Jim Everett-Wilson) and I can give you edit priveleges.
Fortu Central https://sites.google.com/view/fortucentral/ is an alternate lore site started specifically for material about the Fortu race. Because the Fortu are an old race and integrally related to the Prime a lot of information about history and reality is included here as well.
This is mostly intended for editing the Lore site as this is the place expected most to change. The product that this site is in is called "Google Sites" and I am sure there are tutorials and courses if you want more information than this brief tutorial provides.

But the basics are...
To edit an existing page find the icon, such as the one depicted on the right, which exist on the bottom right hand corner of the page. Clicking on this will bring you into edit mode. if you don't see this icon on you page you probably need to contact me (Jim Everett-Wilson) to get update permissions.
Once in edit mode you can modify the current page or other pages. All of the changes you make will be private to you until you Publish. To publish click the button (also depicted on the right) which is located in the upper right of the edit page. This will show you a screen where you can review your changes and then, pressing publish again, incorporate them in the site.
The page editor supports a very simple layout manager where you can add flows, stack them, and revise them to support two or more columns of content. In addition to text you can embed raw html (this is how some of the more complex tables in the rules were done), add images, or embed other web content like google sheets, docs or other things.
Once in edit mode, the easiest way to add a new page is the go to the right hand pallet and change the tab to the Pages tab.
From this browser you can select an existing page. In addition, when you hover of a page an ellipsis menu appears on the right. From this you can:
Show page properties in order to rename a page name (this affects the URL but not the page title). Changing a page name or location automatically updates all references to it.
Duplicate a page, allowing you to make a new copy, rename it, and then change the content as you like
Add a subpage, which allows you to create a new blank page under the current page.
Note that adding a new page will add it to the banner menu, but unless you also link to it from other pages it will not be obvious how to get there.
To add a new element, including text, to the flow double click on the area below the current text and a menu wheel like the one depicted will show. Click on the blue Ts to add a text flow, or the green cloud to upload an image, or one of the other options to add other things. You can also add a number of other things from the "Insert" menu on the pallet on the right.
Once an element is added you can drag it up and down to position it in the flow. You can also resize it to take less columns and drag other things next to it (as the image of the menu wheel is to the right of this text).
While editing a text in a text element, a menu appears above the current flow box (like the one depicted below).
This provides various text formatting options. The ellipsis at the end provides even more options. The "insert link" option allows you to hyperlink the selected text. In the resulting dialog type the name of a page. when the name appears in the drop down select it and this will insert something like Page:Rules (for a link to the Rules page) in the link box, which you can then apply.
