This is a selection of ten poems by Palestinian poet from Gaza, Shahd Safi. Nine of the ten poems were written while Shahd was enduring the siege and genocide on Gaza. The final poem was written after Shahd escaped and travelled to the United States to earn her degree in Human Rights and Written Arts. This collection is about Shahd’s experience of displacement, guilt, hope, love, self-containment, and survival.
