Barcelona is one of the vertices of the European high speed train network with direct connections to Madrid, Paris, Lyon and Marseille, so coming by train is a great option! The metro line L3 connects the main train station Sants Estació directly with the university area (Zona Universitària), where the summer school will take place.
If coming to Barcelona by plane, you can get into the city with the Aerobús (24h) or with the metro L9 line (05:00h-00:00h), which takes you directly to Zona Universitària.

Important: Barcelona is a very turistic city, so we recommend booking accommodation as much in advance as possible.
Recommendations: Near the venue, Residència Torre Girona is an affordable option that offers a limited number of single and double rooms at a discounted price. Ask josep.fontana () estudiantat.upc.edu for booking instructions and a discount code. However, it is worth noting that there are not many restaurants and bars in the university area.
The speakers will be staying at Hotel U232 (Carrer del Comte d'Urgell, 232).
