This Privacy Policy explains how Barcelona Help: Guide & Map ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles user and device data. We are deeply committed to user privacy and data minimization. The App is designed and built to operate 100% locally and offline on your device without requiring user registration, user accounts, or personal profile creation.
2. Data Collection & Device Permissions
The App requests only the strictly necessary permissions required to deliver essential navigation, emergency, and utility features:
• Precise & Coarse Location (GPS - ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Location data is processed strictly in real-time on your mobile device. It is used exclusively to display distances to points of interest, guide you back to your parked car, and format coordinates for emergency services. Your location data is NEVER uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any external servers.
• Camera & Flashlight (CAMERA, FLASHLIGHT): Used solely to control the physical LED torch for the Mountain SOS Morse code beacon and safety signaling. The App does not capture photos, record videos, or access camera streams.
• Vibrator & Audio (VIBRATE): Used exclusively to deliver tactical haptic feedback and sound the acoustic emergency siren alarm.
• Telephone Dialer: Used strictly to open the device's native telephone dialer when the user explicitly taps to call emergency services (112, 061 CatSalut, 092 Guàrdia Urbana, 088 Mossos d'Esquadra) or public hospitals.
3. Local On-Device Storage
The App stores only technical user preferences locally on your device using encrypted Android Jetpack DataStore and SQLite (Room):
• Selected application language (English, Spanish, Catalan, French, German, Italian).
• Active user mode (Tourist Mode / Resident Mode).
• Saved parking spot coordinates and parking meter timer (stored strictly on-device).
• Bookmarked favorite places.
Users can wipe and reset all locally stored preferences anytime directly inside the App by tapping Legal & Privacy > Reset All Local Preferences, or by clearing the App's storage via Android Settings.
4. Third-Party Services & Advertising
The App integrates Google AdMob (Google Play Services) to display non-intrusive advertisements to support ongoing development and maintenance. Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous device identifiers, advertising IDs, and diagnostic data in compliance with Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
The App does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. GDPR & EU Data Protection Rights
In compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish LOPDGDD / LSSI-CE laws, users retain full ownership and control of their data. Because no personal data is collected on external servers, your data remains solely on your local device.
