Multi-lingual singer songwriter Barb Sorensen found she had a knack for learning other languages when she recorded a Norwegian folk and Christmas song album as a gift for her new Norwegian mother in-law in 2004. She continues to learn more as she presents Norwegian folk songs and Christmas song concerts for Skjold lodge clubs, special Norwegian events and festivities nationwide.

Barb Sorensen is a singer/songwriter out of Palatine, IL. she grew up in Rolling Meadows, IL and went to college at Loyola University of Chicago - Lakeshore Campus. After earning her degrees in Chemistry, German, and an unofficial minor in music, she graduated and jumped full time into performing music - her first love. She has not looked back since.
