My name is Barbara. I am a retired Ph.D. Board Certified Toxicologist and breast cancer survivor. I love doing pottery, hiking, fishing and pretty much any outdoor activity. I grew up on a dairy farm with lots of animals, and have had pets all my life. I am truly a dog person.
The husky pictured here is Armin, my 4th Siberian husky. Sadly, he is no longer with us, but to get my "Puppy Fix," I started watching dogs for friends. This passion has turned into a great business that lets me care for your furry kid like it was one of my own.
I am also a proud supporter of the pet rescue Best Friends — Save them all, No Kill animal sanctuary.
As a pet lover and rescuer, I firmly believe in saving animals which is why I visited (April 2025) the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kenab, UT as an honored gold status guest. This honor is archived by my committed decade plus of donating to this animal rescue. It was a great experience to be a participate a tour and volunteering with a host of others animal lovers from all over the US.
Good thing I flew otherwise I'd end up with a car load of rescues.
