Photographer and visual artist.
Art is Oxygen
My work is a body that breathes, denounces and embraces.
Art is my home, my language, my truth.
I photograph the real to resist indifference.
Who Am I?
I am a visual artist with deep roots in photography, the daughter of a photographer, born within the light of the image. I have traversed different artistic languages -- from sculpture to drawing, from glass to the stage -- only to return to photography as the most authentic and necessary form of expression.
My work explores identity, the body, truth and the imperfect beauty of things. I have produced thousands of images, self-portraits, symbolic visions and thematic series.
I recognize myself in my artistic signature, BNNRRB. It is my social security number, they stuck it on me, and I have always used it as a sign of identity and reversal.
