About Me
Hi! My name is Ms. Barba, and I am currently the sixth grade social studies teacher. This is my 2nd year at Pio Pico officially, but I have been working in the field of education for 5 years. I love history & the healing power of stories. We all have a role in asking questions, in critiquing the systems around us, and imaging a world that is more just.
¡Hola! Mi nombre es Ms. Barba y soy la maestra de estudios sociales de sexto grado. Este es mi 2° año en Pio Pico, pero llevo 5 años trabajando en el campo de educación. Amo la historia y el poder curativo de los cuentos. Todos tenemos un papel en hacer preguntas, criticar los sistemas que nos rodean e imaginar un mundo que sea más justo.

She listens to Spotify ALL THE TIME + loves new music recommendations.
She bakes for fun, and secretly wants to open a bakery.
She is really good at math & loves to solve math problems for the fun & thrill.
She graduated from Stanford University (major: human biology) in 2017 & UCLA (major: education) in 2020.
She is the 59th grandchild of 61 grandchildren (maternal side).
