The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Church, better known as Barasoain Church, was first built in 1630 during the early years of Spanish colonization in the Philippines. Its most notable historical role came on September 15, 1898, when it served as the venue for the ratification of the Malolos Constitution - the foundational document of the First Philippine Republic.
