We are delighted to guide you through the journey of baptism for your child. On this site, you will find all the necessary resources to prepare for this sacred and joyous sacrament.

What You'll Find Here:

1. Baptismal Form: This form is essential for registering your child's baptism. Please fill it out with the required details.

2. Godparent Form: The role of a godparent is a special one. As spiritual guides, godparents are chosen to support and encourage the child's faith journey. Please make two copies of this form, one for each godparent (Godfather and Godmother).

3. Instructional Video: This video provides an overview of the baptism process and its significance in our faith.

Role of a Godparent:

Godparents play a crucial role in the religious life of the baptized. They are not only witnesses to the baptism but also commit to helping the child grow in the Catholic faith. Their role is to support the child's ongoing spiritual formation and to encourage a life in harmony with Catholic teaching.  Godparents must be baptized, confirmed and practicing Catholics.

After completing the forms, please send them back to me, Fr. Chris Looby, at clooby@rcdony.org or mail them to PO Box 159 Morrisonville, NY 12962. You are also welcome to drop off the forms at the rectory office.
