Some of My Original Oil Paintings
The paintings above were selected from my earlier works created before 2019. The lotus pond piece was inspired by my memories and photographs of the pond at South Putuo Temple in Xiamen. The rural courtyard painting is a sketch made at my grandparents’ house in Dalian. The remaining four works form a “Four Seasons” series, created from memory.
This studio work is based on the winter view seen through the floor-to-ceiling window at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

This studio painting is inspired by my memories and photographs of Tap Mun Island, captured during the summer of 2024.
May 21, 2025.
These paintings were inspired by my visit to Acadia National Park. The three small works with an orange background are sketches made at Schoodic Point on May 27, 2025. The sunset painting was completed in the studio on June 2, 2025, based on my memories and photographs of several sunsets from the trip.
