The Bank of England is the First Economic service in Democraciv. Founded by Espresso, ABigGlassHouse, and ArturPlaysGames, the bank is fueled by CoffeeBeanWorks' underlying software.
The concept is fairly simple - the Bank of England has issued money to the government for payroll purposes, and pays bank employees wages. This in turn stimulates the economy by allowing those who are paid to pay others for services, who in turn pay others for services. It's a basic, traditional economic system.
Currently, the Bank of England is unregulated - there is no legislation limiting how dp (Democraciv Pounds) may be used.
Many citizens have already started creating businesses using DP, including design firms, a loan company, legal firms, and a stock market.
All government and bank employees are paid a weekly salary. Employees of businesses may also be paid, depending on the company.
