Bankal National High School- Senior High with school ID 303174 was opened in 2016 through R.A. 10533, “An Act Enhancing the Philippine Basic Education System by Strengthening its Curriculum and Increasing the Number of Years for Basic Education, Appropriating Funds, therefore and for Other Purpose’ which was then approved on May 15, 2013 and signed by President Benigno S. Aquino III. It is situated seven (7) meters away from the city proper and can be reached by means of any vehicle such as motorcycle, tricycle or private vehicle. Its adjacent barangays consist of Pajac, Soong, and Maribago. This is the only high school offering Senior High School curriculum in the catchment area of District 2. 

For the past five (5) years, its records show minimal incidence of crimes and human-induced hazards. Its most frequent cases cover crime against school property. In terms of its infrastructure, the school buildings are of good structural integrity and have fairly maintained instructional classrooms, TVL-shops and school offices. However, in December 2021, super typhoon “Odette” caused structural damages, with the ceilings of the four-storey building got detached and suspended, gutter system damaged, and other forms of minor damages. 

In the past three (3) consecutive years, Bankal National High School-Senior High enrolment increased by an average of 45.78%. This geometric increase can be attributed to the fact that the completers from the other high schools in the nearby barangays find it more accessible and practical to attain senior high school graduation in this school. As to its course offerings for the old curriculum: (1) for Academic track, it offers the following strands; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Accounting and Business Management (ABM), and Humanities and Social Sciences (HumSS) and for the TVL track, it offers Computer System Servicing (CSS), Dressmaking (DM), Front Office Services (FOS), Housekeeping Services (HK), Bartending (BRT) and Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM). For the present Three-term curriculum, the school have these offerings: Advanced Science, General Academics and Technical Professional (TechPro).
